Recently, Chris Pottinger curated a one night festival celebrating solo experimental musicians named CONGEALED. We held the show at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit, with performances from MAT BRINKMAN, BROWN RECLUSE ALPHA (C.F.), REGRESSION (NATE YOUNG), COTTON MUSEUM and BILL NACE.

In addition to the performances, TASTY SOIL was able to release the first volume of a professionally printed book titled CONGEALED. This book features new artwork from all the performers! It is available right now in the TASTY SOIL STORE.

Chris Pottinger was selected as one of the 2012 Kresge arts in Detroit Performing arts fellows. This was awarded because of work in his solo experimental electronics project COTTON MUSEUM. SLITHER RECORDING ON MoCAD BOX#1 w/ SUN RA!
We are very excited to announce that SLITHER (Chris Pottinger & Heath Moerland) has a recording that is included in a release with the SUN RA ARKESTRA. It is part of a huge box set released by Museum of Contemporary art in Detroit called "BOX #1". Limited to 200 copies. Some of the things included in the box are: 12" LP of Sun Ra Arkestra recorded live in Detroit (1979), a book on music theory written by Faruq Z. Bey (Griot Galaxy). Also includes unreleased recordings by Destroy All Monsters, Warn Defever, Kim Fowley, Little Princess (Davin Brainard) and way more. Go to BOOK BEAT to read more about it!
